①Choose your favorite promotion.
Exposures of pro-wrestlers to media have been increasing for these 10 years especially both active and retired wrestlers of NJPW. Last year, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tetsuya Naito, 2 top wrestlers of NJPW, were featured on TV programs called “Jounetsu Tairiku” and “Professional Work Style”. You can find them in TV commercials and magazines also.
Once you find the one you like (interest is enough), let’s see his matches and other matches of the promotion he blogs to. Actually, this is the fastest way to be a fan of pro-wrestling. The same way as you found your favorite artists or actors. You saw their works, don’t you?

I recommend you see matches of 2-3 promotions and you will find your favorite one.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling Co., Ltd.: A promotion representing Japan and the 2nd largest promotion in the world.
DDT: A highly entertaining promotion and they have several kinds of fan base.
Dragon Gate: A promotion performs attractive fast-paced matches based on lucha libre.
All Japan Pro Wrestling: The 2nd oldest promotion. Wrestlers tend to be robust and big.
Big Japan Pro Wrestling: A promotion performs death matches.
Pro Wrestling Noah: They used to be a popular promotion in 2000s and are now shifting generations.
World Wonder Ring Stardom: The best promotion among female pro-wrestling.
